Crailsheim, Germany. Filling, creating multipacks, palletizing – Gerhard Schubert GmbH realises a broad range of solutions for the beverage industry using extremely flexible TLM technology. In the picker line on display, TLM-F44 robots group bottles on TLM transmodules. Visitors are invited to gather information about the entire range of services at the Schubert trade fair stand.

The fair machine runs with an output of 12,000 bottles/hour. It visualises how TLM lines handle products without any backup occurring.

A compact design combined with high flexibility is required in many production plants in the beverage industry. Since its introduction, the patented TLM transmodule has played a significant role in fulfilling these requirements.

The TLM transmodule is a single-axis rail-based robot with contactless energy and data transfer. Interchangeable size plates are placed on the transport carriage. Using transmodules, new and more effective solutions can often be discovered for individual packaging jobs. This in turn results in a reduction in mechanisms and thus higher line efficiency.

The latest examples of the benefits of implementing TLM technology in the beverage industry include a line for the careful cartoning of Veuve Clicquot champagne and the realisation of offline packaging centres for international breweries such as the Carlsberg Group. In this concept, an extremely flexible multipack line unpacks the full bottles which are fed in on Euro pallets. They are subsequently packaged and palletized according to the customer's requirements. Independently of this, the brewery's inline system can produce and package goods in standard mode.
